Planet no more...
Pluto gets the boot at the hands of the IAU. So now, instead of being the only planet discovered by an American, it is now merely the first identified dwarf planet.

The only American planet, and it's been downsized out of its job. I'm telling you, it's all part of that giant sucking sound Ross Perot predicted would be caused by NAFTA. Why, we're going to have to outsource the 9th planet to one of these bad boys orbiting a whole 'nother star!
